Alberto Moncada (Syracuse 1979) is a photographer and an diving guide. His interest for photography was born as a young man and over the years, this passion became his profession. He studied photography in Milan at the Istituto Europeo di Design. During that time, he started collaborating with the photographer Giovanni Chiaramonte. In 2005 he was selected to photograph Casa Luis Barragan in Mexico, on the occasion of the Entrez Lentement exhibition for the Salone del Mobile di Milano. In 2010, he founded Studio Mooz with Giovanni Ferraro, in Syracuse, Sicily.
Since 2013 he has been shooting Prada and MiuMiu fashion shows, as a fruit of a long term collaboration with OMA - Rem Koolhaas. In 2014, his work was chosen to integrate the cover of themagazine Abitare, to celebrate its re-lauch number 538. His work has been published in several international magazines and newspapers such as Abitare, Interni, Lotus, Domus, Frame, Octagon, AD, Elle Decor, Wallpaper, Casamica, Case d'abitare, Fantastic Man, ArtReview.
He lives and works between Milan and Syracuse. In the last years, he has been teaching in two Design Academies in Sicily.
